I was invited to write a review for a restaurant in Jersey City called Maritime Parc for Joonbug.com. I brought my best friend Michael with me as my guest and it was nice to go to a Joonbug event in New Jersey instead of having to commute into the city. I hate the Turnpike and was a little irritated that Google Maps kept telling me to take it. I was surprised to see that Maritime Parc was near the Liberty Science Center and completely forgot how scenic the area is. The atmosphere near Maritime Parc is very peaceful and relaxing, it's too bad the weather wasn't warm.
Once Michael and I sat down and ordered mimosas, chef/owner Christopher Siversen came by our table to greet us. Chef Siversen was very friendly and welcoming, he told us about his second restaurant opening, his family, and how he ended up finding the rare/beautiful space that is now Maritime Parc. All the food he prepared for us was absolutely amazing. Get ready to drool!
After the glorious meal, restaurant manager Priscilla Abreu gave us a tour of the two floors of private event space they have. The staff was preparing for a wedding reception later that day and were arranging the tables.
The experience at Maritime Parc was excellent, we are actually going back for dinner next week. If you want to have a delicious meal, you should definitely check out the Jersey City secret, you won't regret it. Check out my review for Joonbug.com here: Brunch at Maritime Parc.
