Local Runway Looks

After attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, I was on the hunt to find runway looks in local boutiques. A family orientated, yet trendy town, the boutiques in Montclair are very fashion forward with plenty of runway inspired pieces. During Fashion Week, I saw plenty of colorful furs on and off the runway. Being February in New York City and barely a degree outside, guests were covered in layers of fur and the crowd outside Lincoln Center wasn't comparable to the usual amount of trendsetters. I had an hour to kill between shows and decided to walk to The Smith, literally across the street from Lincoln Center, for a quick bite and it felt like my entire body was enclosed in ice. It was freezing cold out and the wind was definitely not helping. Another trend I noticed was culottes, oversized neutral sweaters, knee length skirts, and black silk blouses. These items are staples in any closet that are comfy, yet chic when styled correctly. You can read my full article for Baristanet here: Get the Runway Look Locally!
