ModCloth is an online retailer that sells women's clothing, accessories, and gifts. I worked with their PR team and covered the online store during Coachella for a "What To Wear" piece. Since the fashion at Coachella has become just as important as the lineup, I decided to focus my assignment on maxi dresses. Other than the beautiful clothing catching my eye, while scoping out the website I noticed that all the item style names were play on words. A crisp and sophisticated 3/4 sleeve jade green dress is named Keen of the Castle Dress, while a navy dress with sleeve cutouts is named Beguiled and Free Dress.
I choose the maxi dresses From Far and Tier and Let's Sway Together for the post and matched them with vintage esque jewelry. The English major/nerd side of me couldn't help but to choose the Wonderland of Whimsy Bracelet and That Polonius Guy Necklace. The bracelet was engraved with a quote from Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland," while the necklace had a line from Shakespeare's "Hamlet." I promise you will find something to buy at ModCloth.
